feeling yucky...

Eric's been feeling yucky, this is mostly due to the Nupagin shots he has to do for the next few days. Nupagin is a medication that boosts your white blood cell count, they are trying to boost his count so that they can put his port back in next week. This medication makes you feel yucky, flu like. He definitely doesn't like it. He hasn't been eating a lot, his mom made him some tapioca pudding like he requested, so hopefully after these shots are done (Wed.) he'll start feeling better...

I'm sorry to hear that Eric hasn't been feeling well, with everything that he has to go through along with the treatment AND all the other medications, it can definitely be a roller coaster ride.
I was wondering if I might suggest something....
When Jose first started treatment(again for the 3rd time, heh) in 2006, he tried something that he had never tried before. He stuck to a very strick diet, one that consisted of a lot of green vegetables, fresh fruits, minimal amounts of sugar (as suger feeds cancer cells) and as much organic stuff that his pocketbook could handle (I know it gets expensive, but some of the things you can find pretty cheap from health food stores) He didn't drink pop, he ate mostly only white meat and fish. He told me about half way through his treatment that was the best he had ever felt while on Chemo. and Radiation. He really did not get super tired, in fact he played racketball a couple times a week! He didn't get sick, and he really didn't lose a lot of his hair. He maintained his weight, and really felt like the diet attributed a lot, because he knew was he was eating was helping him to be stronger, instead of eating things that really weren't healthy for his body, especially while on Chemo.
These are just suggestions, of course, I know that Eric may not like some of those things, but it may be worth a try if he wants to see if it will help him from feeling sick and losing weight.
I think there are a lot of resources out there on diet while going through cancer treatment, he may just want to check it out and see what he thinks.
I am praying for him, and the family, every day! :)
